A PG owner, at the end of another long day
This started with a very specific, very common scene: a PG owner, at the end of another long day, typing the same “please pay rent” message into WhatsApp — one resident at a time, for the third month in a row. Meanwhile the actual record of who'd paid and who hadn't lived across a phone's memory, a half-updated Excel sheet, and a stack of PhonePe screenshots nobody had reconciled since March.
Nothing about that scene was because the owner wasn't capable. It was because nothing built for this specific job existed. The software available was either a spreadsheet pretending to be a system, or an enterprise property management platform built for portfolios far larger, in far more corporate language, at prices that made no sense for a 30-bed PG.
