This started with a very specific, very common scene: a PG owner, at the end of another long day, typing the same “please pay rent” message into WhatsApp — one resident at a time, for the third month in a row. Meanwhile the actual record of who'd paid and who hadn't lived across a phone's memory, a half-updated Excel sheet, and a stack of PhonePe screenshots nobody had reconciled since March.
